The Manic Stamper

Step 1 of 5

Cut a length of florist wire about 5-6cm long. Mould a small amount of yellow Hearty Clay to form a cone shape at the end - you may need to press firmly to get the clay to adhere well to the wire if it is plastic coated. Leave to dry for at least an hour.
TOP TIP 1
Don't forget to work with small amounts of clay at a time, and to seal any unused clay in an airtight container as soon as you have taken your supply out. Once dry, Hearty Clay is surprisingly resilient. If you don't have any yellow clay, do the same with white, wait until dry, and then colour with either paints or felt-tip pen and allow to dry before proceeding.

Step 2 of 5

When you're ready to proceed, roll out a thin sheet of white Hearty Clay - I use a pasta machine on the thinnest setting. Using a small heart shaped punch, punch out a single heart from the clay.

Step 3 of 5

Place the 'v' of the heart against the bottom of the yellow cone and press the bottom of the cone into it slightly - don't press the top in as we don't want that to stick...

Step 4 of 5

Next, curl one edge of the heart round the base of the cone, pressing firmly as you go. The top should curl slightly, but not be touching the top of the yellow cone.

Step 5 of 5

Do the same with the other side, overlapping the edge of the heart you just did. Gently press together at the base, but don't mould the edges together all the way up. Slightly curve the tip of the heart away from the tip of the cone. Set aside and leave to dry overnight. Mount the lilies in groups of three or more tied in a bunch on your cards.
